Easter in Corsica

Easter in Corsica

Easter is in Corsica a time of religious fervor as much as a celebration in the family.

Good Friday is marked by its processions. The Catenaciu de Sartène is particularly followed. Holy Saturday is the day when the branches are made.

Easter Sunday is the time of the Easter meal around the lamb or cabri. Easter Monday gives way to the Merendella, a big picnic with family or friends at the beach or in the maquis.
